(Senior) Financial Controller

Your mission
Are you a hands-on Financial Controller with a natural drive to coordinate and assist in executing financial processes of The Storytelling Company? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your ideas and expertise help shape the company’s financial control on its financial processes? If so, we want to hear from you! You’ll be working for our German office in Munich and will be in close contact with TSC group finance team located in the Netherlands. As a Financial Controller, you will:
  • Manage (strategically + operationally) TSC’s German Operating Companie(s) financial processes
  • Steer the German Operating Companie(s) administration incl. financial planning of existing financial resources
  • Implement validation processes to catch omissions (e.g. revenue leakage)  in downstream processes and systems
  • Manage and control monthly financial reporting to TSC CFO and TSC Director Reporting & Accounting
  • Perform budgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysis
  • Optimize bookkeeping by automation of repeating tasks and source data delivery
  • Be the single point of contact for the TSC Director Reporting & Accounting for all intercompany settlement matters
Your profile
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers
  • Significant years of experience in financial controlling (5+ years)
  • At least a bachelor's degree (HBO) in accounting or equivalent
  • Proficiency in accounting software, in particular DATEV, experience with TROI is a plus  
  • Experience in private equity owned business is a plus
  • You have experience working in an international company and are fluent in both German and English.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals like revenue recognition and accruals
  • A team player with strong social skills and experience in managing finance capacity with high demand
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities
  • You’re a natural at switching between tasks and aligning with multiple stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and departments.
  • The ability and permit to work in Germany and work from our office in Munich at least 1 day a week.
